A delegation led by Pan Lingji, Chief Representative for Southeast Asia and Head of the Japan Office of the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber (APIAC), visited the Ningbo Lawyers Association on March 25, 2025, to discuss the role of international arbitration in cross-border trade. The meeting focused on the legal needs of Ningbo enterprises expanding overseas and explored how international arbitration services could provide efficient, cost-effective dispute resolution solutions to help enterprises navigate global challenges.

The APIAC delegation was warmly received by Huang Miao, Head of the International Dispute Resolution Team of NILSC, Ye Lingnan, Deputy Head of the team, and Zhang Dacheng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Center.

During the exchange, Huang Miao elaborated on new approaches to building Ningbo’s foreign-related legal service system, highlighting the International Legal Service Center’s establishment of a "one-stop" platform for foreign-related legal services. This platform aims to enhance the efficiency of connecting local legal professionals with overseas resources, further positioning Ningbo as an international port city. The APIAC team proposed addressing common challenges faced by enterprises through institutional innovation, multi-jurisdictional legal compatibility, and establishing physical presence in key regions to optimize the global business environment.

The meeting concluded successfully, with both parties reaching a strategic consensus to leverage Ningbo’s inherent strengths in "port economy," cultivate international arbitration talent, and promote coordinated development of foreign-related arbitration and legal services in the region.
